About this blog

What’s this?

If you want to know what’s going on in Norwegian gaming, but nobody ever actually taught you Norwegian, this blog is for you.

This blog is written and maintained by Norwegian role-players. It’s a sister project to the book “Nørwegian Style”, which is planned for release in the summer of 2008.

We’re trying to break the language barrier.

For decades we’ve been borrowing US and UK ideas. We’ve played English-language games since the seventies. Back then, we played D&D, translating modules on the fly. These days we’re playing indie games. And we’re writing games.

On this blog you’ll find:

Translations of Norwegian games that you can print out and play. In addition, expect the occasional post on Norwegian role-playing events that might interest those outside Norway.

  1. Hi Matthijs — apologies for leaving the question here, but I couldn’t find any other means of contact for you.

I recently became aware of your RPG ‘Draug’. Is there an English version for sale?

    Cheers!

    • Hi, Eddie!

I’m afraid the game was never translated to English. It’s a question I get occasionally, and I even contacted a publisher or two back in the day, but they didn’t bite.

If you have any further questions about this or other games (or anything!), my e-mail is matthijs1000 (at) hotmail (dot) com.

  2. Hi, I couldn’t find a way to contact you other that with this comment! I’ve been searching for the past 2 days your book Norwegian Style, in english in PDF, can’t find a place to buy it! (I saw it with the Nook and with iTunes) but I’m with Android…so both these way are not valid for me!

I hope you could help me!

    • Hi, Simon!

I’m afraid it was never made available as a PDF. I don’t have the files or anything for the book; perhaps Anders Nygaard or Håken Lid can help you. Send me an e-mail at matthijs1000 (at) hotmail (dot) com and I’ll send you their contact info.
